Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur to reunite for new project?

Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur are reportedly reuniting on the big screen for a romantic film.

The Ashiqui 2 duo, who garnered recognition for their roles in the romance/musical film, are expected to work together in Mohit Suri’s upcoming project.

According to Pinkvilla, a source close to the development shared, “He (Mohit) has discussed the basic idea with the duo, and will now proceed towards developing the script further. It’s in the nascent stage, and there will be a clarity on reunion by the end of this year.”

As per reports, the film is expected to be released in 2026.

However, the actors have yet to confirm their participation in the much-awaited project.

The Ek Villian actress, who was reportedly in a relationship with the Gumraah actor earlier, was last seen in the blockbuster film Stree 2.

Speaking exclusively at an event, the 38-year-old star shared her experience while working on the horror/comedy project.

She shared, “When I heard the first part, I felt I hadn’t come across a script like that before. It was based on an urban legend and I literally fell off the sofa while listening to it. I was so glad that they came to me. It was pure entertainment – I laughed at the dialogues and the scenes, and I loved playing this mysterious girl who comes and goes.”

Reflecting on the third installment of the sequel, Shraddha added, “When Amar sir told me he had a story for Stree 3, I got very excited because I know it’s going to be something amazing. I can’t wait to hear what it’s about.”

Stree 2, starring the Baaghi actress and Rajkummar Rao, hit the big screens on August 15, 2024.

On the contrary, the Fitoor actor is all set to work alongside Sara Ali Khan in the upcoming film Metro In Dino.

For the unversed, after starring together in the 2013 film, Aditya and Shraddha have also worked together in Shaad Ali's Ok Jaanu.
