Viola Davis has recently revealed her preparation process to play physical demanding role in the upcoming thriller, G20.
The actress, who plays fearless US president Danielle Sutton in the forthcoming movie, shared she decided to go for gym training because there are gruelling fight scenes in the new movie.
Dishing out her training routine, Viola mentioned that she maintained the same weight lifting routine she adopted when prepping for The Woman King.
In a new interview with The Times, the Doubt actress said, “I’m not one of those women who is afraid to look muscular, and I don’t believe in losing a whole lot of weight so I can be magazine-ready.”
“There’s still a part of me that wants to represent real life,” continued the 59-year-old.
Viola told the outlet, “I wanted to look capable, a leader who’s willing to jump through the plate glass first.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the actress opened up that why her political party’s name in the movie was not disclosed.
“If you get down to the nitty gritty, we just wanna reach people,” stated Viola.
The actress added, “I do not think it’s a suspension of disbelief to imagine someone who looks like me as the president.”
