Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds may stay-at-home during the Met Gala 2025.
According to TMZ, a source close to the couple revealed that the duo has no plans to attend the highly anticipated event on May 5.
And while Lively, 37, and Reynolds, 48, are currently making headlines due to the legal battle between Lively’s It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, the source insists that their decision to skip the Met Gala had nothing to do with the drama—it was made long before the legal saga began.
This isn’t the first time the couple has decided to forgo fashion’s biggest night.
Despite Lively being unofficially crowned the "Queen of the Met Gala" for her stunning red carpet moments, she and Reynolds haven’t attended the event since 2022.
Last year, they chose to stay home and enjoy some quality family time with their four children instead of gracing the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
And while fans may be disappointed to miss another iconic Lively look, it seems the couple is prioritizing their personal time once again.
As for who will steal the show in their absence? That remains to be seen. But one thing’s for sure—Met Gala or not, Blake and Ryan know how to keep us talking.
