Kelly Clarkson is hitting a major milestone, and she’s making sure to celebrate it in true Kelly fashion—full of laughter, heartfelt moments, and a dash of self-deprecating humour.
On the Thursday, March 20 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Grammy-winning powerhouse marked a huge achievement, her 1,000th episode.
And in classic Clarkson style, she kicked things off with pure excitement.
"Welcome to The Kelly Clarkson Show and our 1,000th episode," she announced, before pausing to take it all in. "I cannot believe today marks the 1,000th. It’s crazy."
Since its debut on September 9, 2019, the show has been a space for feel-good stories, inspiring guests, and plenty of viral moments. Reflecting on the journey, Clarkson acknowledged just how much has changed—both for the show and for herself.
"We have met some hugely talented people, tons of big stars and inspiring everyday heroes," she shared, adding that the show has built a true sense of community. "We have supported each other through a lot of ups and downs."
And if anyone knows about ups and downs, it’s Kelly. While she didn’t get into specifics, she jokingly hinted at her own personal rollercoaster over the years.
"A lot of ups and downs personally as well," she quipped, earning laughs from the audience.
Of course, no look back at The Kelly Clarkson Show would be complete without recalling the truly wild moments.
From hosting with an eye patch to sporting a leg cast—on two separate occasions, she clarified—Clarkson has proved that nothing stops her from showing up for her audience.
There was also a nod to some of the show’s most memorable traditions, including sending fans on dream trips and bringing in adorable furry guests. And when it comes to personal discoveries, she didn’t hold back on one hilarious admission.
"Still can’t cook," she confessed with a grin, acknowledging that despite five-and-a-half years on air, she hasn’t exactly mastered the kitchen.
Beyond the fun, Clarkson highlighted the emotional depth of the show.
"For 1,000 episodes, we have laughed together, we have cried together with beautiful stories, sang together with some people, danced together, celebrated and competed together," she said.
And in one of the most Kelly Clarkson moments ever, she couldn’t resist a playful jab at herself.
"I’ve lost, alone, a lot," she added with a knowing smile, leaving it up to the audience to decide whether she meant game segments, cooking challenges, or something a little deeper.
Through it all, Clarkson has remained as real and relatable as ever. And if 1,000 episodes have proven anything, it’s that her infectious spirit and authenticity are what keep fans coming back for more.
