Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan just made his debut alongside Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor in Netflix backed film Nadaaniyan, which was not quite well-received by the audience.
The film triggered the usual comparison between the father and son. But the performances was not the only thing which became target to criticism, but the netizens also questioned the narrative of the film and called the plot as irrelevant and unrelatable.
Ace Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who worked as a producer on the movie, finally broke his silence to respond to the haters.
According to Karan, his relationship with the critics doesn’t change at all. He does not mind people writing bad about his films, but he does care about the trolls targeting someone’s son and daughter.
He stated, "Whoever knows me, and (this goes for) every critic, my relationship doesn't change with them on the basis of what they write about my films.”
At a press meet of a Punjabi film, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director added, “Sometimes, trolls do say things. My issue is when some of these writers don't see that these actors are also someone's sons and daughters. They are people too."
"So, what you say about them is a reflection of you, and not on the film. That is disturbing to me. Words are equally violent," he concluded.
Nadaaniyan showcases Kushi playing Piya, a south Delhi girl and Ibrahim as Arjun, a middle class boy.
