Chris Pratt's highest grossing film of 2023 to get sequel soon

Jurassic World actor Chris Pratt became the talk of the town after playing a major part in a 2023 animated movie.

The family comedy film based on Nintendo’s iconic video game turned out to be the chartbuster movie of the year.

As per the latest update, the globally acclaimed flick will be getting a sequel soon.

Pratt featured in The Super Mario Bros. Movie in which he voiced the lead character.

Produced under the banner of Universal Pictures, the popular movie also featured Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Charles Martinet as Giuseppe, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong.

On March 10, 2024, the sequel was officially confirmed at the Mario Day celebration. Earlier today, the official release date of the film has also been shared.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 is slated to hit theatres on April 3, 2026.

Much of the details have been kept under wrap including the plot and cast members. However, most of the original castmates are expected to return for the new film.
