Abhay Deol gets candid about experiencing violence in his past relationships, shedding light on the often-overlooked issue of emotional violence.
During an exclusive interview with Humans of Bombay, the actor spoke out against violence in relationships after admitting that many of his past relationships failed due to his partners being 'unemotional and scheming.’
Abhay didn’t hesitate to share unfiltered thoughts on reaching a common ground in relationships, taking into account the needs of both entities.
He told the outlet, “I don’t believe in violence and I have had a lot of drama in some of my past relationships. They have turned violent as well, emotional mainly. And that’s not good, not for my partner and not good for me. Not pointing fingers at anyone, it’s a learning curve.”
Speaking about narcissism, Abhay shared his experience with past relationships, noting that, “In retrospect, you see that was kind of very unemotional and scheming. I have had some great relationships, some really miserable ones. I’ve had partners where I have had great support, I have been the wrong one.”
On professional front, the actor is currently gearing up for Vijay Kumar Arora’s Son of Sardaar 2, which is slated to release on July 25, 2025.
