X-Men: First Class actor James McAvoy will be rewarded with honorary title at the Glasgow Film Festival (GFF) in March.
The Scottish actor will not only be attending the ‘in conversation’ event at the big festival, but also his film The Last King of Scotland will be having a reflective screening at GGF.
The prestigious award was instigated in 2024 to recognize those renowned figures who have contributed a major to the entertainment industry.
James is being considered as one of those deserving celebrities. Some of his notable works include his X-Men franchise and the 2024 horror drama flick, Speak No Evil.
The 45-year-old impressed the audience by depicting a dangerous man named Paddy in James Watkins directorial.
Meanwhile, another film that has given him great recognition is Split.
In the 2016 film, McAvoy played the role of guy suffering from dissociative identity disorder and has 23 alter ego. He also has a 24th personality which is extremely terrifying as he turns into a ‘Beast’.
The movie also has a prequel titled Unbreakable, featuring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.
Split got renewed for a sequel that came out in 2019 by the name Glass. It also featured Sarah Paulson in a pivotal role.
