Junaid Khan, who is currently busy promoting new film Loveyapa with co-star Khushi Kapoor, has made a confession involving his parents.
Aamir Khan and Reena Dutt’s son, in his latest interview, was asked about getting acting education; something which was quite an uncommon thing in his parents’ generation.
While addressing about his theatre education, Junaid admitted that he attended an acting school and spent his parents’ money ridiculously.
“Dad did spend a lot of time at FTII doing diploma films. So, he didn’t go to acting school per se. But yeah, he learnt largely on the job.”
The 31-year-old told Indian Express, “I had the privilege of being able to go to theatre school and spend a ‘ridonculous’ amount of my parents’ money on a theatre education.”
“That’s a huge privilege, especially for a career that has no financial upside on the horizon.”
The Maharaj actor holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce. Later, he joined the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, California, to study acting.
Junaid is the eldest son of Aamir, who the latter welcomed with ex-wife Reena in 1993.
