Selena Gomez reveals shocking reason behind deleting crying video
Selena Gomez posts a tearful video regarding Donald Trump’s mass deportation of immigrants
Selena Gomez has recently revealed shocking reason behind deleting her crying video regarding Donald Trump's mass deportation of undocumented immigrants.
The source close to the Only Murders in the Building actress told DailyMail.com that she realised she could not go up against a Republican backed nation, many of them are loyal customers of her Rare beauty brand.
“She does not wish to alienate,” said the singer and actress.
For the unversed, Selena cried as she spoke about Donald’s immigration policy in an emotional clip shared to her Instagram Stories on January 27.
Later, the video sparked a fierce backlash from Republicans and MAGA supporters, including US Senate candidate Sam Parker who called out the singer to be deported in the wake of her meltdown.
Following his comments, the source revealed that Selena decided “to stay out of politics and in her own lane after that drama”.
The source explained that Selena is “extremely 'passionate” about the politics but feels like she can “never win” after receiving the negative response.
The source mentioned that Emilia Perez actress was “just trying to be helpful, however, her message got lost because of her emotional state in the clip.
“Selena thought that she was being authentic and helpful with her video but in retrospect, she realises that it could have been more powerful without the tears,” pointed out an insider.
The source further said that the “tears showed weakness and that is not what she intended”.
“She only wants people to see that most Americans are descended from immigrants,” noted an insider.
The source added that several people “are citizens because their ancestors chose to come here whether documented or not”.
