Palace releases new video to counter criticism against Prince William
Kensington Palace hits back as Prince William takes major step to shut down naysayers
Prince William is making sure he leaves an indelible mark as a Prince of Wales before he takes on his role as King.
King Charles’ heir, William, stepped out to visit the Duchy of Cornwall farm in Herefordshire on Tuesday, to look over the new initiative he is taking for his private estate.
Kensington Palace released highlights from the visit as the farm is changing over to a regenerative system, in line with William’s agenda of implementing more sustainable practices.
William appeared in high spirits looking over the working of the farm, situated near the Welsh border, as the Gorringe family showed him around.
The statement was also shared alongside the video highlights explaining the work that is being done on the duchy.
“Exploring regenerative farming at Lower Blakemere Farm, one of the Duchy of Cornwall’s seven Focus Farms. The Gorringe family showcase sustainable practices, including repurposed structures and composting projects,” the message read.
“The farm also plays a key role in the Upper Wye Valley ‘Ridge to River’ project, uniting 16 farms to create a resilient landscape that supports biodiversity, protects water, and contributes to climate mitigation and social value.”
The update comes after Prince William received criticism for his duchy’s unsustainable practices in a documentary released last year, The King, The Prince & Their Secret Millions.
The detailed report investigated the hidden wealth of the royal family which was generating large sum through public entities and charities without the general public’s knowledge.
It had also criticised King Charles and William, who are lifelong advocates of the environment, for still using abysmal and unsustainable practices on their private estate.
