Lady Gaga has her sights set on building a family with fiancé Michael Polansky.
In her February 2025 Elle cover story, the 38-year-old pop icon opened up about her hopes for the future.
“Family — it’s like the roots of the tree,” Gaga mused, explaining, “They grow long, and sometimes they’re mangled, and sometimes they’re full of water, and sometimes they’re thirsty. Family is what makes you who you are and also defines your need for change.”
Gaga and Polansky, a Harvard graduate and venture capitalist, met at a charity event in 2019 and got engaged last year. While their relationship is often in the public eye, the couple prioritises staying grounded.
“We make pasta together; we roast things,” Gaga shared. She added that their bond extends to Polansky’s family, noting, “We also really like making simple dishes with Michael’s mom, who lives nearby.”
Polansky echoed the sentiment, describing their relationship as both ordinary and extraordinary. “Our relationship is probably a lot like everyone else’s. We just have to figure out how to do some of it in public,” he said.
