Since news of Saif Ali Khan's attack broke, fans have been eager to know the identity of the assailant behind the shocking incident involving the Bollywood star.
The Indian Express reported that an intruder broke into Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Bandra, Mumbai home late Wednesday night. The robber had a knife, and when Saif, 54, attempted to confront him unarmed, he sustained six stabs, two of which were reportedly deep.
According to The Statesman, Mumbai Police has detained three people who work in Saif and Kareena’s home following the attack on the star.
The three staff members were taken to the police station, where they are undergoing an investigation.
At the Bandra Police station, they have lodged an FIR against an intruder who fled away after attacking the Race actor.
Following the incident, Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hopital, where he underwent a medical procedure, according to the first official statement by Kareena’s team.
In addition, Saif’s team also released a statement confirming, "There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter."
Police sources further confirmed that at the time of the attack on Saif, Kareena and their kids, Taimoor and Jeh, were present in the house
