Kareena Kapoor Khan reassured fans of her safety following reports of attack on Saif Ali Khan.

Shortly after news surfaced that Saif, 54, had been stabbed six times during an attempted burglary at their Bandra, Mumbai residence, concerned fans grew anxious.

Amid widespread speculation about his condition and the safety of Kareena, 44, and their children, the Singham Returns actress’ team released an official statement to address the situation.

"There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night," they began, adding, "Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital, undergoing a procedure."

"The rest of the family is doing fine," the statement continued. "We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate further as the police are already doing their due investigations."

Several authentic news outlets confirmed that Kareena, 44, and their children, Taimur and Jeh, were at home when Saif was attacked.

Reassuring everyone of their safety, the official statement concluded with, "Thank you all for your concern. Team Kareena Kapoor Khan."

The Indian Express reported that an alleged intruder broke into the Bollywood stars' house on Thursday Night. To protect his family, Saif confronted the armed robber without any weapon, sustaining six stabs during the scuffle, two of which were reportedly deep.

As Kareena's team stated, Saif is currently admitted to the Lilavati Hospital, where he is undergoing a procedure.
