Dennis Quaid was caught in an awkward situation as he wrapped up his belongings to flee Los Angeles home during wildfires.
The 70-year-old star was trying to pack up his belongings when reporter Robert Kovacik interrupted him for an interview at his Brentwood, California home.
Following the rushed interview, fans slammed the reporter on social media.
One fan took to X, and wrote, “Not them interviewing Dennis Quaid while he frantically tries to pack his belongings to evacuate.”
“Truly one of the worst parasitic paparazzi s–t I’ve ever seen,” wrote another.
“It went on for like 20 minutes, this dude harassing Dennis Quaid and being ridiculously inappropriate crossing boundaries and invading privacy while he’s trying to evacuate,” a third chimed in.
Echoing the sentiment, a fourth joined, “It’s like dude, he does not have time to talk. Every second you waste is something he can’t take with him,” another concerned fan noted.
Although the Substance actor maintained his cool and even instructed fellow residents to turn off their gas before they evacuate their homes.
Reflecting on the accident, he said, “Our experience of reality can change in a moment.”
Quaid told the interviewer that he had returned to his home with his dog, Peaches, to spray down his roof and help neighbors if needed.
He went on to say, “We’ve had it lucky. I have so many friends who have lost [their houses.] … We’re fighting as hard as we can to save our city.”
