Paul Mescal is all set for his US Broadway debut titled A Streetcar Named Desire.
According to Playbill report, the Normal People actor will reprise his Oliver-winning turn as Stanley Kowalski in Rebecca Frecknall's directed play.
The production, which won the Olivier for Best Revival and was directed by Cabaret director, will play from February 28 through April 6 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Paul will reportedly be joined in Brooklyn by his London co-stars stars Anjana Vasan and Patsy Ferran.
For the unversed, the production premiered in 2022 at London's Almeida where Anjana and Patsy earned appreciation awards for their performances.
Interestingly, Paul earned nomination for an Academy Award for his role in Aftersun as well as All of Us Strangers and the series Normal People.
Earlier, speaking to W magazine, Paul shared his thoughts about Oscars.
“The thing about the Oscars is you're able to go to the bar during it. They've got people who come and fill your seats,” said the Foe actor.
In addition to Paul, other stars who are going to hit the NY stage next month included Denzel Washington, George Clooney, Sarah Snook, Nick Jonas Sadie Sink and many more.
Meanwhile, there will no theatre stars to perform on stage but celebrities who are known for their appearances in movie, television and music will showcase their talent this year.
It is pertinent to mention that some Hollywood stars are making their Broad or Off-Broadway debuts.
