Cameron Brink, American professional basketball player, has shared shocking details about the inaugural season of the Unrivaled 3-on-3 women’s basketball league.
The 23-year-old rookie forward for the Los Angeles Sparks, will not be suiting up for the Lunar Owls due to an ACL injury.
Stephen Curry's godsister, who signed a multi-year deal with the Lunar Owls in December, is expected to be sidelined until 2026.
Moreover, Brink is determined to remain involved with her team and the new league, despite the setback.
She traveled to Miami to support her teammates and participate in the league’s practice sessions ahead of its highly anticipated debut on January 17.
“I won’t be playing, but I’ll be supporting full-fledged,” Brink said in a recent interview.
“It’s just going to be a really cool opportunity. Iron sharpens iron, so while I’m there, I’ll be able to train with people and work on my game.”
For the unknown, the Unrivaled league is co-founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier.
It has attracted a strong lineup of players for its inaugural season, which will run for eight weeks. Brink’s Lunar Owls team boasts an impressive roster, featuring Collier, Allisha Gray, Courtney Williams, Skylar Diggins-Smith, and Shakira Austin.
For the unknown, Cameron Brink and Ben Felter got engaged in September, 2024. Brink announced the news on Instagram, captioning: "Yes in every lifetime."
