Inside Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner's daughter Violet Affleck heartbreaking challenges

Violet Affleck, the daughter of Hollywood stars Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, has faced numerous challenges growing up under the intense glare of the spotlight.

The 19-year-old has also experienced significant hardships apart of enjoying the perks of being the child of A-list celebrities.

Violet, who shares close bond with Jennifer Lopez, was constantly hounded by the paparazzi, a situation that left her feeling scared and suffocated.

Jennifer Garner, who has always tried to protect her children, explained how Violet’s early years were marred by relentless attention from photographers.

Violet, who was only in kindergarten at the time, even spoke out at a public gathering, expressing how frightening the paparazzi were. 

"We didn't ask for this. We don't want these cameras, they're scary," Violet stated, highlighting how the constant chase disrupted her childhood.

Despite Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's best efforts to shield her from the public eye, the paparazzi’s intrusion led to a host of challenges. 

The harassment ultimately led Jennifer Garner to campaign for stronger legal protections for children from paparazzi, resulting in the passage of Senate Bill 606 in 2013, aimed at safeguarding kids from photographers’ exploitation.

In recent years, Violet’s struggles have continued. After Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s marriage dissolved in 2024, Violet faced emotional turmoil, especially as she developed a close bond with Lopez.

Violet, who had been attached to Lopez’s family during their relationship, found it hard to let go, even trying to convince her father to salvage his marriage with the singer. 

In 2019, she developed a post-viral illness, and in 2024, she spoke out about the ongoing impact of long COVID on vulnerable populations, reflecting on her own health battle. 

However, it’s clear that the challenges of being born into celebrity have shaped Violet Affleck's life in profound ways.
