Jocelyn Wildenstein, also known as ‘Catwoman’, died of pulmonary embolism at age 84.
Lloyd Klein, Jocelyn's partner confirmed to People that the Swiss socialite passed away peacefully in sleep in her suite in Paris on December 31.
AFP and Paris Match first confirmed the news.
Lloyd gave the news of her death in a statement shared with AFP, “It is with heavy heart and with great sadness that Mr Lloyd Klein announces the unexpected death of his beloved fiance and longtime companion Jocelyne Wildenstein.”
The fashion designer further revealed, “Mrs Wildenstein died peacefully in her sleep in the late afternoon of December 31st, 2024 in her... suite in Paris where the couple had taken temporary residence since August of 2024.”
Jocelyn’s recent appearance comes in Paris when just two weeks ago she was spotted with Lloyd Klein in healthy condition.
Jocelyn, born on August 5, rose to fame due to her plastic surgeries and her split in 1990s from her former partner Alec Wildenstein in one of the biggest in the history of divorce settlements.
For the unversed, it has been speculated that probably Jocelyn was in process of making a comeback as she had been filming a reality show for a year before her death.
