'General Hospital' character actor John Capodice dies at 83
John Capodice appeared in numerous TV shows and films includng Ace Venutura, Wall Street and many more
John Capodice, a character actor known for working in General Hospital and Ace Ventura, among others, has passed away at the age of 83.
A listing on New Jersey’s Pizzi Funeral Home website cited he breathed his last on Monday, December 30, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
The funeral home website described the late actor as a "devoted husband, father and grandfather" who will be "missed by all who had the pleasure to meet him."
Capodice, who appeared on stage, TV, and in numerous films, played Carmine Cerullo in six episodes of the hit soap opera from 1994 to 1996.
Meanwhile, in the 1994 movie, he showed off his acting chops as a police officer who was dismissive of Carey’s pet detective.
His film credits include Honeymoon in Vegas, Independence Day, Speed, The Doors, and Wall Street.
In addition, throughout his illustrious career, the veteran character actor made several guest-star appearances, including in Another World, As the World Turns, CSI, Diagnosis Murder, Ellen, Knots Landing Law & Order, Kate & Allie, Moonlighting, Mad About You, Murphy Brown, Six Feet Under, and many more.
His first TV role was in Ryan’s Hope as Lloyd Lord in six episodes.
Capodice is survived by his wife, daughters and four grandchildren.
