Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes have finally settled divorce.
The One Tree Hill actress, who filed for divorce in August 2023 after just over a year of marriage, reached a confidential settlement with Hughes on Dec. 30, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
Hughes cited "irreconcilable differences" in his response to the filing, listing their separation date as June 27, 2023 — just 16 days after the couple marked their first wedding anniversary on June 11.
Neither Bush nor Hughes requested spousal support, with both agreeing to cover their own legal fees. However, early 2024 saw a brief disagreement regarding their prenuptial "Unity Agreement."
The pair, who tied the knot in June 2022, were longtime friends before their romantic relationship.
A source close to the couple previously shared, “Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service. They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends.”
Following her divorce filing, Bush opened up about her emotions in an April 2024 Glamour cover story, revealing that her anniversary Instagram post — later deleted — didn’t reflect her true feelings. “It was just a story,” she said, admitting she felt physically ill after posting it.
