The Duchess of Sussex celebrated the 2025 in a surprising way as she released her first video of the year after rejoining the popular platform years after logging off
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex visits the city hall during the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 - One Year To Go events on September 6, 2022 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
The 43-year-old kicked off the new year with a new account on the social media platform. It had long been rumored that the handle @meghan belonged to the Duchess of Sussex.
The video was also shared by archewell_sussex account with caption: "Happy New Year It’s Instagram official! Meghan Markle has launched her social media account with a candid video filmed by her husband, Prince Harry."
The former Suits star's first post featured her in a video, wearing all white and running on the beach, writing "2025" in the sand before running back off camera.
In addition to her first post, the @meghan account also updated its profile picture to a black-and-white shot of Meghan smiling and wearing white, though a different white look than in her first post.
The update comes months after Meghan hinted that she was getting back on Instagram in conversation with The Cut.
"Do you want to know a secret?" she said in a wide-ranging interview published in August 2022. "I'm getting back… on Instagram."
Meghan Markle's video was reportedly filmed by her husband Prince Harry, who recently quashed divorce rumours in a hilarious way by releasing a statement.
