Brad Pitt’s divorce from Angelina Jolie allegedly came as a sigh of relief for the actor.
The 61-year-old star feels that the settlement of their eight-year-long divorce case is the “perfect way to ring in the new year and couldn’t think of a better way to begin 2025,” according to a source.
“It’s been a long road, but Brad is so thankful to start the new year with a clean slate and a fresh start,” the insider told Page Six.
The 49-year-old actress filed the documents of agreement on Monday at Los Angeles Superior Court after eight years of intense legal battle.
However, the Fight Club actor is “relieved to put this chapter behind him,” the source added.
The Maleficent star filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016 after two years of marriage. The former couple shares six kids, Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Discussing the new settlement, the inside source commented, “There are still other aspects that need to be ironed out legally between Brad and Angelina, such as the ongoing Chateau Miraval lawsuit, but Brad considers this aspect a big win.”
The Troy actor sued the Girl, Interrupted actress in February 2022, accusing his ex-wife to have breached their contract by selling her Chateau Miraval stake in October 2021 to a third party without his consent.
