Forget Brat summer — for Charli XCX, 2024 was the Brat year.
On New Year’s on Tuesday, the Brat queen shared an Instagram slideshow of her “many highs” in 2024, showcasing unforgettable moments with Addison Rae, Billie Eilish, and Troye Sivan while thanking fans for an incredible year.
“So many highs in 2024 and I [can’t be arsed] to post them all but here’s some of my fav memories and fav people,” Charli, 32, wrote, thanking fans, known as Charlie’s Angels, for their unwavering support.
“Love you all so much and thank you for everything. Sorry i’m a lot sometimes,” she concluded.
Among the highlights was a behind-the-scenes clip of her and Rae crafting the remix of Brat’s lead single, Von Dutch, featuring Rae’s now-iconic scream.
“Cool,” Rae said after hearing the track, to which Charli replied, “Could be cute.”
The slideshow also included a snap with Billie Eilish from their “panty party” remix of Guess and a nod to Charli’s wildly successful Sweat tour with Troye Sivan. The 22-show run grossed $28 million and sold nearly 300,000 tickets, according to Billboard Boxscore.
Released in June, Brat became Charli’s highest-charting album on the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 3, and dominated the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart for 29 weeks. Reflecting on the album, Charli told Billboard she aimed to connect directly with fans, saying, “It’s just that everybody joins at slightly different times in slightly different ways.”
