Beyoncé, the legendary artist of the music world who is best known for her dance moves as well, recently scored a major victory, securing all rights to her daughter Blue Ivy's name.
On December 31sth, this news broke by The Trademark Official Gazette, as this legal win gives the superstar full control over the name, making it hers to protect and use however she sees fit.
The trademark feud began back in 2012, just after Ivy was born when Beyoncé and Jay-Z filed for the rights to her name.
However, the couple’s goal was simple as they all wanted just to stop anyone from cashing in on their daughter's name without permission.
The ruling comes right after a fiercy battle with a wedding planner who tried to use the name for his business purposes.
Ivy’s father Jay-Z, who is currently facing some serious charges of gang-raping a 13-year-old girl with his longtime friend Sean Diddy Combs, earlier opened up to Vanity Fair about the matter and explained how they wanted to keep their daughter’s name.
He shared: "People wanted to make products based on our child’s name, and you don’t want anybody trying to benefit off your baby’s name."
