Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally put their nearly decade-long divorce settlement to rest thanks to his girlfriend, Ines De Ramon.
After the Fight Club star and Jolie, 49, signed the divorce papers on Monday, December 30, a source confirmed to Page Six that Pitt’s girlfriend encouraged the actor to settle the case to move on together.
"He was influenced by Ines to finally settle," the insider claimed. "Ines wants to have life together—with possibly children in the future— without the albatross that was the eight-year War of the Roses."
"She has made [it known that] her opinion is that life would be much more enjoyable with this settled," they say of the Jewelry designer.
The Maria actress and Pitt, 61, were locked in a messy divorce battle over custody and other issues ever since she filed for dissolution of marriage on September 29, 2016.
Though the endless Byzantine legal war over their French winery, Chateau Miraval, is ongoing, the two A-listers were legally ruled single in 2019 and finally signed the divorce paper on Monday.
The Wolfs actor first sparked romance rumours with the 31-year-old vice president of a renowned Jewelry brand in November 2022.
Though both parties did not officially confirm they were dating, the lovebirds continued to spot on date nights and several outings while holding hands.
De Ramon, 31 and Pitt made their official debut red carpet appearance as couples nearly two years later at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.
