Nina Dobrev and Shaun White celebrate 'first Christmas as fiancées'
The 'Vampire Diaries' star said 'yes' to snowboarder Shaun White in October this year after four years of dating
‘Tis the season of firsts for newly engaged Nina Dobrev and Shaun White!
After getting engaged earlier this year, the happy couple celebrated their first Christmas as fiancées in a winter wonderland.
The Vampire Diaries star, 35, took to her Instagram to share snaps from their Christmas getaway in Park City, Utah, joined by the 38-year-old snowboarder’s family.
Dobrev’s dazzling 5-carat engagement ring took center stage in many of the snaps, as the couple basked in the glow of White’s October proposal.
“First Christmas as fiancées,” she captioned the post, which featured moments of family bonding, festive cabin decor, and plenty of holiday cheer.
White proposed in a surprise October 25th setup in New York City, completely catching Dobrev off guard. She revealed to Vogue that she thought they were heading to a dinner hosted by Anna Wintour, only to be driven to a romantic West Village restaurant where he popped the question.
“I just froze and stared at him,” Dobrev admitted of the unforgettable moment.
The pair announced their engagement on Instagram days later, with Dobrev quipping, “RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé.”
White expressed his joy in a heartfelt post, saying, “I’m beside myself to be with this amazing woman… Our quarantine romance turned into this beautiful relationship and now a forever love.”
