Iain Armitage, American actor, known for his role in Young Sheldon, reunited with his first on-screen mother, Shailene Woodley as he supported her Broadway debut.

In an Instagram carousel post shared on December 30th, the Scoob! voice actor recalled his time on Big Little Lies with Woodley praising her performance in the Cult of Love play.

“Last night I got to see my first fake Mama, @shailenewoodley in a play on Broadway! She’s in Cult of Love at @2stnyc,” he wrote.

“When I was 7, I got cast in Big Little Lies. Before we headed to LA to begin filming, I had a FaceTime call with Shailene and I asked her what it would all be like. She assured me that it would be fun, ‘like playing’ and wow, she was so right,” he wrote as fondly recalled their first interaction.

The 15-year-old artist further added that it was “thrill” to see her debut performance, adding few details about the play.

He concluded his post by applauding the Divergent star, “I hope Shailene keeps coming back to theatre because it makes me so happy to see her up there and I hope she knows how proud I am to be her fake son!”

Woodley responded to the heartfelt post by re-sharing it on her Instagram story, writing: “my Ziggy came to the show last night. made my heart so happy.”

In another post she added the caption, “hes grown into such an extraordinary young man. can’t believe how much time has gone since we did Big Little Lies.”
