Sir Rod Stewart, legendary singer and songwriter, is in deep sorrow as he has shared heartbreak post after losing his dearest friend during the Christmas season.
The 79-year-old music icon expressed that he is "devastated" by the loss of his beloved friend, which left him deeply saddened.
Richard Perry, highly respected music producer, tragically passed away in Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday after painfully suffering from heart attack.
Richard, who worked with big names like Rod Stewart and The Beatles, lived his life to the fullest and spent days earning a name in the industry.
Taking to his Instagram post, Rod shared: "Dearest Richard, farewell, my dear buddy. They say in life a man is lucky if he can count his true friends on one hand, and you were certainly one of them."
"Now I've lost you, and I'm devastated. We played and worked so closely together for so many years, creating some of the most memorable music together," he continued.
He went on expressing his loss and said, "You were there when Penny and I first started dating, encouraging our relationship. We are both in tears as I post this farewell."
However, fans came out to share their condolence and talked about how gem of a person Richard was, who entertained the world with his amazing movies.
