Grammy Award winner SZA has confirmed that her longtime manager Terrence 'Punch' Henderson has unexpectedly parted ways with her.
The 35-year-old singer, who just released her latest album 'Lana' on December 20, made it along with the help and active participation of Henderson.
Less than a day of the record release, SZA announced the saddening news while sharing the screenshots of her former manager, where the two discussed about releasing more tracks.
“Punch gave the go ahead to purge and drop all songs.. more things are on the way”, wrote the Snooze vocalist on X.
She even disclosed that it was Punch’s idea to release 'Lana' amid Christmas.
The screenshots further showed the discussion between the two about releasing three additional songs namely PSA, Take You Down and Open Arms.
The future of these songs now look blur after the sudden departure of Terrence.
“Those were tracks punch and I spoke about releasing together prior. Obviously, he stepped away abruptly so sorting the drop out was a bit tricky. Pls Give me a second .. they’ll be loaded.”
She further mentioned how she loved him and requested everyone not to attack or cruel him for making this hasty decision.
“And to be clear I love punch deeply! NO ONE should be attacking him or being cruel on my behalf. Sometimes ppl grow apart and that’s okay”, wrote SZA, 35.
“Nothing to celebrate. The end of an era. I wish him the best whatever his choices may be.”
All the Stars vocalist has been working with Henderson since 2011.
