Taylor Swift, after wrapping up her history-making Eras Tour on December 8th, sparked speculations among fans about what the popstar had planned for next year.
In 2022, the Red crooner was set to make her first feature directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures. It was also reported by Variety that the musician has written an original script.
Since then, the 14-time Grammy award winner had released three albums, 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Now that the Lover songstress has completed her tour, and has not announced any new album or tour in foreseeable future, Swifties on Reddit begun speculations about her next year plans.
"Following the end of the Era's Tour," one fan began. "Do you guys think Taylor will start working on her Feature Film that she will write or direct or do you think we'll get a new album or the re-recordings of reputation and debut album?"
In response many fans shared theories about Swift’s next big step.
As one predicted, "I think we'll get the re-recordings first. Films take Forever to actually make."
While another said, "Apparently, she's already written the script so I think that's at least somewhat underway. I could see us getting a new album late 2025 (depending on the release of the re-records) and the filmed in mid-late 2026."
"I don’t believe we’ll get a new album soon. I think it’ll be a re-recording while she makes the rumored feature film," replied one more.
Since the beginning of her career back in 2006, Taylor Swift has self-directed 13 of her 61 music videos with many featuring major stars like Laura Dern, Miles Teller and Post Malone.
