Vivek Oberoi is reflecting on the concept of open marriage as he discusses his relationship with his wife Priyanka Alva.
During an exclusive interview with MensXP, the Great Grandmasti actor, who has been married to Priyanka for more than a decade, opened up about the concept of exclusivity in relationships.
Sharing his stance on love and marriage, the 48-year-old quipped, "I don't understand the concept of open marriage. I don't understand the definition of open exclusivity. Either you are exclusive, or you are nothing. There cannot be anything like open exclusivity."
In addition, Vivek argued that the concept of open marriage goes against his cultural values as he emphasised on his Punjabi background.
Despite the flawed framework of most traditional practices, the Omkara alum clarified that he doesn't believe all other practices are inherently wrong.
Reflecting on his ‘unique’ commitment to wife, he further went on to add, "Every morning I wake up, I see her, and I feel love. Every once in a while, I ask myself a question: among all the women in the universe, would I still choose her if I could choose anybody else in the world? The answer is yes, I would still choose her. So if you can feel that every day, every month, every ten years of your life, it's more liberating than open marriage."
For the unversed, Vivek and Priyanka tied the knot back in October 29, 2010 and share two children together.
