Charlie Puth, American singer and songwriter who is best known for his hit songs, recently gave his fans a peek behind the curtain as he revealed some interesting news about his upcoming music.
In a viral TikTok video, a fan asked the Attention singer when he would drop the new album.
"The top of next year," replied the Light Switch crooner. "So, not five years, not four years, next year."
He further added, "Contractually obligated to release something next year."
Puth's fans, who had been eagerly waiting for fresh music since the last two years, took to X [formerly Twitter] to express their excitement over the announcement.
A fan wrote, "I am one person that actually loves Charlie Puth's singing and music. I hope he releases a good album next year."
Another sang Taylor Swift's lyric from The Tortured Poets department song, "I Think it’s time someone declares that Charlie Puth should be the bigger singer."
"Seems sad to be contractually obligated to release something. It should be set up to release when inspiration hits," another user penned.
The globally known singer has previously released his self-titled Charlie album in 2022.
However, this year Puth has released two songs Hero and December 25th.
While sharing his previous working experience for festive song, the musician also revealed his future plans.
"I wrote and recorded December 25 completely on a whim a few weeks ago in my studio while working on my new album," the Grammy-nominee shared in a press statement via Billboard.
Other than this, Charlie Puth was also featured on South Korean boy band Stray Kids' hit song Lose My Breath.
