Aamir Khan has recently proved his perfectionism as a husband when his ex-wife credited him for the success of her movie Laapataa Ladies.
As reported by Hindustan Times, during a roundtable discussion with RJ Rohini, the 51-year-old filmmaker revealed it was her former partner who inspired her to peruse the film.
Kiran disclosed that Aamir had told her one line of the story, as he was on the jury of a screenwriting competition, which was enough for her to do the film.
The Indian screenwriter added, "Aamir told me one line of the story, because he was on the jury of a screenwriting competition, That one line was just so compelling that I was like, I want to do this."
"Really badly. And I was really lucky that he offered it to me, to make. And I had been struggling a little bit like one ‘Laapataa Lady’ myself for so many years," the mother-of-one stated.
For the unversed, with Laapataa Ladies Kiran marked her huge comeback to the big screens after thirteen years.
Before making the comedy-drama film she made her directorial debut with Dhobi Ghat in 2011.
On a personal front, Kiran and Aamir parted ways in 2021 after spending two decades as a happy couple.
The former couple now co-parent a son named Azad.
