Varun Dhawan is getting candid about not spending enough time with his daughter Lara as he reflects on his routine as an actor.
The actor, who rose to fame after his groundbreaking role as a rebellious son Rohan Nanda in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, recently opened up about his struggles as a working parent.
During the latest episode of Pinkvilla Masterclass, Varun Dhawan, accompanied by director Atlee, Murad Khetani, and Kalees, ahead of their upcoming film Baby John, opened up about experiencing 'dad guilt' for missing out on precious moments with his baby girl while away for work.
He explained, “I literally don't have a second. It’s very strange and I've never felt like this. I've never felt this kind of love in my life. I've never felt this kind of missing like I have.
Drawing parallels with his own childhood experiences, he further went on to explain, “Maybe when I was very young, my parents left me and they went somewhere; maybe I missed them that badly. But right now, the way I'm missing her is strange; it's very strange to me because I've never felt this feeling before.”
For the unversed, Varun and his wife Natasha Dalal welcomed their daughter Lara on June 3, 2024.
On professional front, the actor is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Baby John, which is slated to release on the auspicious occasion of Christmas, December 25.
