'Heeramandi' star drops major hint about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial

Heeramandi’s actress Sanjeeda Sheikh is providing a major update on the second season of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial.

The actress, who portrayed the role of Waheeda in the series, confirmed the highly-acclaimed show's second season. 

Offering an insight into the Devdas filmmaker's antics, Sheikh said, "The actors are ready, and it will be bigger and better."

During an exclusive interview with News18, the Indian actress explained that the actors are gearing up for the show to go on floors as the timeline for shooting remains unpredictable.

In addition, Sanjeeda expressed gratitude for the life-changing experience as she shared how Heeramandi has brought about a wave of change in her life.

She told the publication, "I always believe that my work should speak for me, and I am glad that after 'Heeramandi' I don't have to introduce my acting and talent to the people.

"Actors want recognition for their acting, character and show, and it is really a pleasure that I am a part of that most searched show."

The Netflix show garnered appreciation from Bollywood fans all over the world, becoming one of the most searched shows on Google Trends in 2024.
