Diane Delano - known for her standout roles in Northern Exposure and The Wicker Man - has passed away at the age of 67 following a brief illness, her representative confirmed on Monday.
Delano was widely recognized for her portrayal of Officer Barbara Semanski in Northern Exposure and Sister Beech in the 2006 remake of The Wicker Man.
She also starred in popular shows like Popular, where she played Roberta “Bobbi” Glass, and Days of Our Lives, where she appeared as Agent Hilda.
Her film credits include Miracle Mile, The Ladykillers, A Mighty Wind, and Out of These Rooms.
Delano also showcased her voice talent in animated projects such as Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Teen Titans, Infinity Train, and Rugrats.
In 2012, Delano earned an Indie Series Award for her role in Fumbling Thru the Pieces. She later shared the Los Angeles Film Award for Best Ensemble in 2019 for the coming-of-age drama Relish.
Most recently, Delano starred in Paradise: A Town of Sinners and Saints, released in early December. Directed by Justin Issac Ward, the bluegrass musical comedy highlights the battle for the "soul" of a small coal-mining town.
