Jude Law has expressed his happiness embracing older age.
According to him, he does not feel bad at all that his heartthrob perception is going to die. Law is absolutely convinced that he is now ageing.
The Sherlock Holmes star opens that in showbiz, there is a physical aspect involved in one’s success.
"I’m very happy ageing. There is a physical aspect to the job, but equally the business is about how you’re perceived”, he told to Guardian newspaper.
He went on to say, "Are you perceived as a person who can become someone else, who’s expected to change, or are you perceived as the person you are?”
Jude explained that looks matter a lot in the entertainment industry and that kind of puts pressure on an actor. However, he also admits that it much more difficult for a woman.
"If you’re successful for looking a certain way, that’s where there’s a bit more pressure. It’s still much harder for women, and I think we could do a lot more to rebalance that."
The 51-year-old confessed that he has started to avoid typecasting in Hollywood with the growing age.
He admitted being inspired by people like Tom Roth, Daniel Day-Lewis and Gary Oldman.
