Kartik Aaryan is making a stunning admission about landing the role of highly-acclaimed Chandu Champion.
The Dhamaka actor, who previously garnered attention with his eye-opening industry claims, is reflecting on his groundbreaking role in the Kabir Khan directorial.
During the Agenda Aaj Tak 2024 event, Kartik revealed that he lied to the director about his swimming skills, admitting he only knew how to stay afloat.
He said, "In reality, I could only do enough to keep myself afloat."
Reflecting on his rigorous training, the 34-year-old actor added, "One and a half minutes of lying cost me one and a half years."
The actor explained how the film inspired Murlikant Petkar's journey after training professionally for nearly two years.
Offering insight into the role, Kartik said Kabir wanted to meet all the requirements of the role, even going so far as to match his weight.
On professional front, the actor rose to fame after his breakout role in Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011 and further went on to try his luck with successes like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Dhamaka, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Luka Chuppi, and Chandu Champion.
