Buckingham Palace carried on with routine as usual despite the royal family being rocked by a serious security matter, which is currently under investigation.
On Friday, the office of King Charles and the Army In London released a delightful video of the Changing of the Guards ceremony which was done to a different tune this time.
The army band played a jazzy rendition of the song by Pentatonix called, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. The palace revealed that there will be a new carol, played in a unique style, every time until the big holiday.
“Listen out for your favourite festive tunes at Guard Change this December and some new variations of familiar classics!” the message read.
“With Christmas almost here, and to get everyone in the festive spirit, the Band of the Scots Guards performed Christmas carols and seasonal favourites during today's ceremony to change The King's Guards,” it continued.
“The British Army Bands will perform Christmas music at every Guard Change ceremony in the run up to Christmas, so if you need a festive boost, come along and join us at Buckingham Palace soon!”
The Changing of the Guard ceremony, which takes place every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, is the exchange of duties between the Old Guard and the New Guard.
The update comes after King Charles was informed of the major security breach by MI% courtesy of his disgraced brother Prince Andrew.
Andrew was friends with an individual H6, who emerged to be a be a Chinese spy. H6 was barred from entering the country in 2023 over national security fears.
A source told The Mirror, that the The King has been “briefed about this situation regarding the suspected Chinese spy and is very aware of what has been and what is being done about it.”
