Nicole Kidman looked back on a quirky encounter with a feline friend that led to her decision to cast Harris Dickon in Babygirl.
During her conversation with Spiderman star Zendaya on Variety’s Actors on Actors, The Perfect Couple actress recalled how she first connected and cast Dickinson, 28, to play her love interest.
She explained that director Haline Reijn suggested the Iron Claw actor as a potential candidate for the role of Samuel, the intern who becomes romantically involved with her CEO protagonist, Romy, in the new erotic thriller.
"We zoomed with him, and it just clicked," A Family Affair actress remembered, adding, "As soon as I saw his cat walk through, I was like, 'You’re perfect. You really, really good for this.' And he was just so nice."
For the unversed, Kidman is a doting cat owner and a widely known admirer of the feline species.
The Eyes Wide Shut actress and her husband, Keith Urban, adopted a rescue cat named Louis during the pandemic. Notably, the couple already had two cats in the house then.
Kidman, 57, previously celebrated her childhood cats on social media. She was also reportedly offered the role of Catwoman in a project that eventually became the 2004 film starring Halle Berry.
