Snoop Dogg will be marking his presence once again on the big screen this time with ace director Luc Besson’s movie.
A few days back, the rapper insinuated that he is working on an apes-like project. However, he did not drop any major details about the venture, while he just mentioned that the new endeavour would have ‘dogs instead of apes.’
As per the latest reports of Variety, the 53-year-old artist is all set to feature in Besson’s upcoming sci-fi movie titled, The Last Man. Reportedly, the new film has a similar description as the one described by Snoop.
The director has expressed his excitement of working with the Young, Wild & Free singer and has even stated that he would like to start working as soon as possible.
“I’ve been a big fan of Snoop Dogg’s music ever since ‘Who Am I”, added Leon creator.
He went on to say: “We first met 20 years ago, and we’ve always wanted to work together again. We just needed the right project that would excite us both — and this is it, with Snoop in the lead role. I can’t wait to get started!”
Meanwhile, Dogg also expressed his eagerness to work with the great filmmaker as he said: “Ever since I’ve seen The Professional, I’ve always wanted [Luc] to direct a whole movie for me.”
“Now we finally get the opportunity for him to write and direct me in a Luc Besson movie.”
Sources say that Luc will be writing the script himself while keeping both sci-fi and comedy touches in the film.
