Mariah Carey cancels Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania concert because of ‘flu’
Mariah Carey put pause to concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania because of health issue
Mariah Carey is not performing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, because she just can’t.
The Grammy winner has canceled her concert on Wednesday in the region, just hours before her performance, because of catching the symptoms of the “flu”.
However, the songstress is sorry.
“Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I’ve come down with the flu,” Carey wrote in a statement shared via X.
“It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight’s show. I love you all so much.”
The news of cancellation comes while the artist, 55, is busy with her Christmas Time tour, which sees the songstress touring across 20 different cities in the United States.
Carey, already acclaimed amongst fans, sees recent peak in popularity as her hit song All I Want for Christmas Is You gets plenty of listens in the month of December.
She even celebrated for the song climbing back to the top on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on Tuesday, while performing in Raleigh, NC.
The songstress marked the celebration by bringing her twins Moroccan and Monroe, 13, on stage, the glimpses of which were shared by her in a clip via Instagram on Tuesday.
“Last night on stage in Raleigh, North Carolina, I found out that All I Want For Christmas Is You returned to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100,” she captioned the post.
“I couldn’t have dreamed of a better time or place to celebrate the news than on stage with my amazing fans, my kids and my #Christmastime tour family. I love you and am so grateful to you all, M.”
