Elton John, the music legend, shared a rare health update in recent appearance.
The 77-year-old star was asked about his health at Good Morning America, as he appeared on Wednesday’s episode along with David Furnish.
The I’m Still Standing hitmaker shared that he “has never been better” despite losing sight in one eye and having complications with the other.
“Well, David and I always have blood tests every six months in Los Angeles [and] our health has never been better,” he said.
While discussing his eyesight, the Grammy-winning musician explained that he has been unable to see with his right eye for “four months” and his left eye too is “not the greatest.”
However, the Rocket Man singer clarified that “There’s hope and encouragement that it will be OK. We’re taking an initiative to try and get it better, but at the moment that’s really what we’re concentrating on.”
John added that “it’s never fortunate for anything like this to happen.”
“I can’t see anything, I can’t read anything, I can’t watch anything.”
This comes after John joined Dua Lipa at her concert at the Royal Albert Hall on December 8th to perform Cold Heart together.
He was later escorted off stage due to his ongoing eyesight issues.
