Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey, who announced an indefinite hiatus, has clarified his retirement statement.
Many misinterpreted his decision to withdraw from acting as they thought it was a publicity stunt.
While some were upset about the fact that the Haseen Dilruba star left acting at the peak of his career.
Therefore, during his latest conversation with News 18, the 37-year-old actor clarified that 'he is not retiring', and that 'he is just taking a long break'.
“I’m not retiring… Just burned out. Need a long break. Miss home and health is also acting up… People misread it”, added Vikrant.
He further stated: “Acting is all I can do. And it has given me everything I have. My physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off, want to better my craft.”
According to the Sector 36 actor, his life was getting monotonous which is why he took this decision.
“I feel a sense of monotony at the moment. My post has been misinterpreted.”
“That I am quiting or retiring from acting. I want to take some time off to focus on my family and health. I would be back when the time feels right.”
