Shailene Woodley has recently broken her silence on painful split from Aaron Rodgers
In a new interview with Outside magazine, the Divergent star, who called off her engagement with Aaron in February 2022, said, “I haven't shared much about my relationship with Aaron because it always makes me cry.”
Recalling her time with former partner Aaron, Shailene remarked, “It was not right. But it was beautiful.”
The Fault In Our Stars actress explained how she dealt with her breakup.
“I felt like I lost my soul, myself, my happiness, my joy,” noted the 33-year-old.
Shailene told the outlet, “I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment.”
Elaborating on why she stayed in a toxic situation, the Big Little Lies actress mentioned, “Empathy kind of kept me in this loop of feeling everything for everyone.”
However, her best friend helped her get through this situation.
“Sometimes I was so angry at her,” continued Shailene.
The actress added, “But then we'd go surf, and for 10 minutes that day I thought life could be OK again.”
Shailene and Aaron first went public with their relationship in February 2021, shortly before announcing their engagement.
Meanwhile, Shailene and Aaron reportedly sparked dating rumours in July 2020 and Us Weekly later confirmed their romance days before the football player announced that he was engaged to the actress in February 2021.
