Taylor Swift pens down heartfelt note after big ‘TTPD’ milestone
Taylor Swift takes another crown in 2024
Taylor Swift continues to prove that she is the backbone of the music industry as she rules the charts with her latest release.
The 34-year-old pop superstar was declared to be the top artist of the year by Apple Music and her album The Tortured Poets Department as the top album.
The Anti-Hero hitmaker also reigned the fifth spot for the top global song of 2024 with her famous hit Cruel Summer from Lover.
Swift also collected another milestone under her belt by receiving the title of top global artist by Amazon Music the same day, with her album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology securing a position as the top album.
As per press release, Apple Music’s statistics also declared Swift to be the No.1 songwriter.
Following the big news, the 14-time-Grammy winner took to Instagram and wrote a thank you note for Swifties.
"Ahhhhhh thank you for listening to my music and TTPD so much!!!!! You, the fans, made The Tortured Poets Department the TOP STREAMED ALBUM of The Year on @applemusic!!! You guys snagged me that Top Streamed Artist spot too," read Lover songstress’ Instagram Story, on Tuesday, December 3rd.
This comes just days after Swift was named the second greatest popstar by Billboard.
"The fact that controversy will likely tear through the internet over her being just one small space below No. 1 is just another testament to her power," the outlet wrote about the mega popstar’s influence.
The list which included "the artists who have most defined pop stardom for the last 25 years" placed Beyoncé in the top spot.
