The Palace, on behalf of the couple, wrote: "Great to welcome the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani to the UK today."
Princess Kate, who's all set for her Christmas carol service on December 6, looked healthy and elegant in a burgundy coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The mom-of-three added a matching hat to complete her look.
William and Kate took the Amir and the Sheikha to Horse Guards Parade for a ceremonial welcome.
Meanwhile, Queen Camilla, whose still suffering from lingering effects of a chest infection, avoided the outing in the cold.
