The Princess of Wales took center stage today as the UK welcomed the Amir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani for an official two-day state visit.

Stepping into a key diplomatic role, Princess Kate, accompanied by Prince William, greeted the Qatari leaders in London on behalf of King Charles III.

The day began with a ceremony of grand pageantry at Horse Guards Parade, where the Amir and Sheikha Jawaher received a Ceremonial Welcome, complete with military honors, before being formally greeted by the King at the Royal Pavilion.

Although Queen Camilla was notably absent from the open-air ceremony due to a lingering viral chest infection, she later joined the royal party for a private lunch at Buckingham Palace and attended the evening’s state banquet in honor of the Qatari leaders.

Princess Kate and Prince William also accompanied the royal guests in the traditional carriage procession along The Mall to Buckingham Palace, showcasing the enduring strength of the Royal Family’s united front.

While the Princess will not be attending tonight’s banquet, her prominent role throughout the day underscores her growing importance within the monarchy.

Kate and William Make Grand Arrival at Buckingham Palace

The Prince and Princess of Wales made a grand arrival at Buckingham Palace this afternoon for a private lunch with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikha Jawaher, King Charles, and Queen Camilla.

This marks the third engagement of the day for Princess Kate, who had earlier greeted the Qatari royals in London before accompanying them to Horse Guards Parade for an official ceremonial welcome.

It’s a busy day for the royal couple as they continue their vital role in the Amir's state visit to the UK.
