Bridget Moynahan is happy that Sex and the City fans have grown to like her character in the series, Natasha, more.
The actress reflected on the shifting perceptions of her character, 25 years after the show's debut.
In an interview with Swooon, Moynahan shared her observations on how fan reactions have changed over the years. She noted that as the audience of the iconic dramedy has grown and evolved, viewers have developed new perspectives about Natasha.
Moynahan’s role as Natasha, the second wife of Mr. Big, originally sparked mixed reactions from fans, but time and changing social dynamics appear to have reshaped opinions on the character and her story arc.
“Over the years, people have found when they first saw it, they were hating on Natasha. And as they grew up, they’re like, ‘We were all Carrie at the time, but we should have been supporting Natasha,'” she said.
“I think that’s just interesting that fans grew with the show and matured with the show.”
“I think that’s what’s so great about the show coming back in a new form is that they’ve matured, and now you have a whole new set of fans coming up, and it’s just nice to see how it keeps growing,” she added.
